SallingPlast (Denmark) and BGIndustry (Poland) merge - Together they will support the energy expansion in Europe
To be a competent, efficient and agile partner, Danish SallingPlast has joined forces with Polish BGIndustry - both companies are highly specialized in the production of plastic fittings and components, primarily for the district heating sector and for pipe manufacturers.
To be as strong as possible in the future European market and to be at the forefront of technology and capacity, SallingPlast in Denmark and BGIndustry in Poland are merging their activities through a merger.
When explaining the motivation for the merger, the essential keywords from Geert Skovsgaard, CEO, are focus on competitiveness, capacity, flexibility, volume, specialization, and increased customer focus:
"Through the merger, we become one of the largest players in the European market. Together we will offer a stronger product range, a geographical proximity to the largest customers, and hence be able to follow and support the future development. Thus, competencies and specialist knowledge are concentrated at the individual factories, and thereby enabling attraction and retention of the best employees for an expected future growth” says Geert Skovsgaard.
From BGIndustry’s point of view, the mutual benefits are clear:

In BGIndustry, we can focus even more on large-scale manufacturing and processing of HDPE components at the factory in Poland, while SallingPlast in Denmark will in the future focus on pre-insulated fittings and valves as well as special tasks for the industry in general," says Bo Jensen.
Jointly, the company has factories in Ranum (DK) and Zabrze (PL), and a state-of-the-art factory in Hurup Thy (DK) which develops and manufactures customized solutions and pressure pipe components, primarily in large dimensions.
Capacity to meet the increasing demand in the green transition
SallingPlast and BGIndustry already supply and service a myriad of components to the industry's biggest players. In the coming years, a strong growth in demand for products used in the green transition is expected, including specifically components for the roll-out of district heating and cooling as well as pre-insulated pipe systems for industry. The need for pressure piping solutions, such as components for infrastructure projects, water treatment, aquaculture, wells, tanks and pipelines is also increasing, and the focus on these products and projects is equally important.
The merger between BGIndustry and SallingPlast supports the company's overall capacity and competence level, thereby strengthening competitiveness through scaling and increased focus on industrialization, standardization and volume. Going forward, these factors will form the basis for a sustainable development of the two companies for the benefit of both customers and employees.
Facts about SallingPlast
SallingPlast has more than 50 years of experience in the production of plastic components in HDPE. A wide range of components are produced as pre-insulated fittings and assembly parts insulated with PUR foam. The company has built up unique competencies in manufacturing items for a wide range of industries, and SallingPlast has extensive experience in designing and manufacturing customer-specific components and solutions as an OEM supplier and as a supplier to industrial customers and wholesalers across Europe.
SallingPlast has two divisions; Energy and Aqua. SallingPlast Energy supplies standard and specialty items to a wide range of sectors, including equipment for all major pipe manufacturers for district heating and cooling, as well as equipment and projects for biogas and industrial customers in general. SallingPlast Aqua develops and produces pressure pipe solutions for projects within public infrastructure, aquaculture, fish farming, wastewater management and water treatment.
SallingPlast employs a total of approx. 80 employees at the factories in Ranum and Hurup Thy.

BGIndustry has more than 30 years of experience, and with its position in Poland, BGIndustry has distinguished itself as a robust player with a solid foundation for further expansion in the European market.
BGIndustry is expanding rapidly and therefore its current facilities in Zabrze will be replaced by a completely newly furnished factory of 7,500 m2. Inauguration and ramp up of production will take place during Q1 and Q2 2023.
BGIndustry currently employs approx. 60 employees in Zabrze.
